Or maybe Brynn Jedi... I'm not sure at this point yet. Either way, she looks very cute in my long sweater.
We had a great multi-day visit by Mike's dad Allan last month. He came up from Mexico for four or five days and stayed at our place. It gave him a chance to meet Brynn for the first time, who gave him a big hug when he got here.

It doesn't mean she wanted to pose for pictures though. It's a 3 generation Barnes giggle photo. Air Canada gave us a few challenges trying to get him here changing his flights twice and eventually routing him through Toronto from Mexico City; sort of the opposite direction. The upside was we fixed it so he had a layover there and got to visit Mike's older brother Chris before heading our way. And then when he got here Mike's younger brother Brad came down to Victoria with his girlfriend Lisa. Of course, Brynn with pose for a photo if Lisa is holding her.

The best part about tall uncles is you can reach the ceiling on their shoulders.
Right after this visit Brad and Lisa found out their offer on a house was accepted, congrats you two!Unfortunately, right before this visit Mike's knee blew out again. He was having a great time playing with a high level team in a tournament in Kelowna, well most of him was, alas, his knee disagreed and gave out.
This round we're having a go with a new specialist / surgeon, Dr. Nelson. When I was looking into him I came across a lot of glowing reviews, ranging from people who said he was able to fix their knee without surgery, to those who said he fixed their knee after other doctors told them it was not possible;seems like a good 'give this a go' candidate. Mike's already seen him and is scheduled for an MRI in the next couple of weeks, then we'll really get a look at what he's done. The thinking right now is he has completely torn the ACL and it will require a repair (ie. a hamstring in it's place).
Brynn just announced it's outside time, so update you when I know more.

Hi guys,
Just to let Mike know I had Dr. McKenzie and then Nelson who took over McKenzie's practice as my neuro and if we move to the island again wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
Good luck on the knee though!
Ewen
